John Burrows I've only listened to the album 3 times through so far, but every song grabs me in some interesting way. Really great music start to finish. I hope they can succeed and continue making music. Favorite track: Monolith.
The Metal Spotlight
The Metal Spotlight thumbnail
The Metal Spotlight Its got the tech and the death, its got feeling and progression, its got a little black metal vibe thrown in there. Its got some killer shred. Yep this album rips. Cool band. Favorite track: The Ascension.
Scott Armitage

Scott Armitage Black metal for those who can't stand "tr00 black metal" and its lo-fi, inaccessible production, Singularity have taken the frostbitten stylings of Emperor and Dissection and married them to the precision and accessibility of modern death metal to make for an album that is as grim as it is technically outstanding. Favorite track: Spacetime Devourment.
Dmitry Nevozhay

Cole Jacobsen I love the guitar work in here. If you like a lot of heavy synth Black Metal like Dimmu Borgir, than pick this up.

Blackened horizons draw nearer As we enter a new age of fear, and confusion Technology no longer of use Forgotten utilization Desperately trying to rebuild society Arbitrarily, sending our kind to the abysmal depths Forgotten utilization of our thoughts Entering the darkness of a world without solace And banishment of our salvation Technology no longer of use Withdrawal of salvation Desperately trying to rebuild society Arbitrarily, sending our kind to the abysmal depths Forgotten utilization of our thoughts

Kinetic energy forms a void At the heart of space and time Stars and planets devoured Life declined Consumed at the speed of light With the heavens flying by The line between existence and death So very fine Nothing will be the same Nothing is to blame Calignosity consuming, engulfing this darkened space As the universal clock stops ticking in this blackened place Kinetic energy forms a void at the heart of space and time No reason, no science to explain why Into this black hole we die Launched into a cosmic clear Blessed by the sight Beams of energy piercing through Raped by the light Kinetic energy forms a void At the heart of space and time Stars and planets devoured Life declined Consumed at the speed of light With the heavens flying by The line between existence and death So very fine Nothing will be the same Nothing is to blame

Monolith 07:09
Upon request the scientific council issues you to research the magnetic field residing on Erebus 2 As I approach the site, I feel a static current running up and down my spine. When I see what lays ahead, I know the reason why. This dark slab before me stands towards the sky. No light reflected. Commanding. Imposing. Pure silence emitted. Yet, it speaks to me; The monolith. Electronic implants just below my skin pick up a signal. My hair stands on edge. Yet, no one is here except me. What makes up this creature? Not skin nor steel nor stone. This pure dark mass invites me. I present my hand. The second I make contact, the monolith uploads the history of its people to my skull. A type V civilization mortal as you or I, found an eternal way to survive Their bodies long turned dust Their consciousness still lives implanted deep within the monolith. Colonizing planets then self-replicating; Eternal masters from another time. Now I see our fate before me. We become machine.

The scorching sun beats me down Anointed in the sky With death abaft waiting for my soul to take This austral land takes hold The dead forest towers above my head Its reverential hands scrape at the sky The only shade in sight I scramble for this haven of hell Nothing to lose I plunge into void Pushing forward, Horror in my eyes, Fungal creatures of various shape and size Floral beings with fangs of bark Their gaze turns towards me Aphotic woodlands Realm of dreams No hope or promise Waits here for me Longing and hunger tear at my chest But creatures do follow No time to rest Beyond the thicket is a great expanse Sitting dead center A throne made of thorn I see him approaching Two grown men tall Sunk eyes pierce through me This kind made of thorn Aphotic woodlands Realm of dreams No hope or primise waits for me Standing atop me Sword at my heart I feel it slide through me and stop in the earth My vision comes brighter Surroundings turn white I see now this forest has Light, light light...

Infernal debris from our closest star is falling. Corroding what is left of the earth. Life dies as our spirits fade into the past. And for those who survive; We live on a plane of desolation. Deformed, born into flame, we now roam the wastes, searching for an answer. Scorned by the omnipotent sun. Life dies as our spirits fade into the past. And for those who survive; We live on a plane of desolation. Supernatural chaos in the stratosphere waiting for the moment, to consume. Desert Planet: burning of the atmosphere in order for the cycle to resume. I cannot stand this burning sun that's beating upon me. Gallowing winds across the smoldering sky. I cannot stand this burning sun that's beating upon me. Gallowing winds across the smoldering sky. A shifting world leaves us blind. Becoming the last of our kind Begging, screaming for solace as this desert boils our mind. Falling from the ashes is a fragment. Can't you see this was all meant to be. Falling from the ashes is a seed. Can't you see That this desert is alive! Infernal debris from our closest star is falling. Corroding what is left of the earth. Life dies as our spirits fade into the past. And for those who survive; We live on a plane of desolation. Supernatural chaos in the stratosphere waiting for the moment, to consume. Desert Planet: burning of the atmosphere in order for the cycle to resume. I cannot stand this burning sun that's beating upon me. Gallowing winds across the smoldering sky. Now's the time for reconstruction. For seeds never grown For the dumbed down and disciplined. Crying out for protection We clench this tangled cord and suffocate all memory. They've cleansed the world of my skin. Expand the truth with lies. Mind erasing, thought replacing. Will I ever have the chance to dine on the ipecac and regain what I am? To testify against the new wave Rebuild the modern man. Sympathy for none. A feeling of white light surrounds me. A shining fluorescent disguise Utopian flesh: bring me closer to god. Become the mechanical Christ. We've been saved And sacrificed We've been saved And sold for new We've been saved And sacrificed Replaced And sold for new Pretend performers with carrion eyes Bring fourth consumers to eat, shit, and die. Your time is running out. Pretend performers with carrion eyes Bring fourth consumers to eat, shit, and die. Your time is running out so bring me your debt.

The Descent 04:46
The air in the cavern, still as a grave As I exhale, I watch my breath turn to fog. The planet is rich, with rare creatures and ore For which I am forced to bring home. Yet deep in the void, I can hear it: A stirring within the bowels of the cave My captors step forward, exploring. "Go on ahead", they say with a sneer. What little light still around us, Now gone in an instant of time. We turn to see what confronts us: An ocean of hungry eyes. Suddenly the ground opens up. Massive insects escape from the wound. The only hope for survival Now lies in the heart of this tomb. Turning on my heel I lurch towards the dark. Fear envelops my soul. I hear screams of pain as my captors' limbs break. And their flesh is torn from their bones. I cannot see Running endlessly God please let me be alive. Then light caresses my eyes. Just before they did close. My lungs ache as I run out of this hell. I burst outside the entrance. Blindness, for a moment, takes hold. When it clears, I do not believe my eyes. A mountain lays before me. Winding stairs join the foot to the sky. At the crest was the temple. At the entrance: a man. Standing ablaze with light.
9.
I heard his whisper Recessed inside my mind "Come to me my child Peace within you'll find." So I began my ascension. With new-found strength, I climbed. Who is this man, this demigod, This arcane being of light? As I climbed up the last step, From the ground, the pylons rose To display the mouth of the temple And in front, a man who glowed. His piercing eyes locked with mine. Chilling me to my soul. Finally, he spoke. "Your race is a parasite You consume all in your path. With no end to your tyranny, You will end many lives." "The only one to stop you Is one of your own kind. A vessel is required As a chalice to contain my being." "When the time comes, a singularity Will open at the planets core. Bringing an end to the plague that is man, It is you, who must bring them their doom." "Come. Come take my hand. For I, shall guide thee. Cross this spectral land. You will now join me, my son." "Come. Come take my hand. I want you to see. Life without your kind All else will survive, when you die."
10.
With my body deep in stasis, Mind still awake, A thought occupies my time. My craft drifts on home Through the dark waters of space. Still, his words echo in my head. "When you reach Earth My knowledge will awaken The power to consume a planet whole." Should I condemn all men? Or let them plunge into fire? It seems man's instinct is to take other life. I've made up my mind. Forgiveness cast aside. You will all die! Plummeting towards Earth Atmospheric entry jars my hull. Spallation occurs. Showering down on those who live below. The impact is severe. Cataclysmic tremors shake the ground. Molten ejecta descending like tears from the crying sky. I hear him calling. His will controls mine. I give myself unto you. "It's time to join me my son." It's time! Deep within my soul I feel it stirring. Gravity ever increasing As the world collapses unto me. White noise fills my ears. White light blinds my eyes. The world is fading, fading gently. Closing in on me, as I die. If mankind's passion is the desire to kill, Then I guess it's fitting that I'm the last one who will. Memories drifting down to the river of life. I see their faces in the reflection. Earth collapsing, we're all out of time. I am one with nothing. I hear him calling. His body controls mine. I give myself unto you. "It's time to join me my son" It's time! Deep within the earth, the core is shrinking. People screaming. Dying. Bleeding. Crushed to death by their own gravity. No noise to be heard. No light to be seen. Silencing hanging ever restless. Obmutescence where earth used to be.
